I can't believe the school year has been going on for 17 days already! Boy, time flies when you are having fun and are incredibly busy. I've been working on getting my classroom to run smoothly, getting the rules and procedures down and getting to know my new kiddos.
I decided to give this blogging thing a try because I have gained so much inspiration as well as motivation from other teachers. I figured, maybe there was something I was doing in my classroom that could help other teachers so why not give it a try!
I am a second year second grade teacher working in a small but very awesome elementary school. I graduated from the University of Kentucky with my Bachelor's degree in Early Elementary Education. Teaching and children have always been a passion of mine so teaching was definitely always an interest for me as a career. I can honestly say that my job is one of the most rewarding, exhausting and exciting out there and I am truly blessed that I get to do what I love each day!
This is also a place where my student's parents can see what is happening in our class and they can check to see what homework is, get the newsletter and leave comments/notes to me.
